Christmas Card Blog Hop

Welcome to the November Cross Canada Blog Hop. In this Hop we were given the challenge to create 3 Christmas Cards using Non-Christmas paper! The paper I chose was "Clementine".

If you came from Terryann's Blog , then you are in the right place!

And here are my 3 cards...

The first card I used the Burlap Ribbon (one of my favorite new products this season) to make the "flower"

On the second card, the Christmas bulb is made from a Dimensional Element, and the ribbon wrapped around it is just the edging from the Burlap Ribbon.

And this is my third card... The bulbs are just made from the Clementine Paper and the tops are from the Silver Shimmer Trim Ribbon.

Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is DEANNES BLOG,

Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we were able to inspire you to create your own Christmas cards using some of the designs and paper seen along the way.

Enjoy!

Baroque Borders Cards

I love busy, fun cards... you know, the ones with embellishments, paper piecing, stitching and lots of stamping, but once in while, a simple card is enough.
When I first saw the stamp set "Baroque Borders" I knew this was the perfect stamp set that could shine on a simple card, so for this months card club, we used this stamp set with coordinating felts and ink and here is what we created...

Clearly The Best!!

I have raved for years about how CTMH has the VERY best stamps out there! In fact... I dare you to find me a company that makes more versatile stamp sets.
So today I am posting a video from CTMH showing different ways to use the stamp sets, and this is just one example of how great they are!

Avonlea Jars

Today's project... Jars!

I bought these jars at the dollar store and then used the Avonlea paper, Burlap ribbon and, of course, the Cricut Artiste cartridge to decorate them.

The stamp sets used...
One of the coordinating stamp sets from the Cricut Artiste Collection and "It's Your Day" stamp set, which is the limited edition stamp set created for National Stamping Month.

So here are my jars...

And here is the "It's Your Day" stamp set which is available from Aug. 15 - Sept. 30 for only $5.00 with a minimum order of $35.00.
This stamp set actually contains 2 D sized stamp sets which includes 50 images and is valued at $35.90.

Cricut projects

So this week I hosted my Idea Book Release Party and before the party I made some Cricut "projects" to show off the new Cricut Artiste Collection and the huge emphasis it has on 3D projects and the "one key themes".
So here are a couple of the projects I did....

The first one is the "Space Party":

The invites

Everything on this table is made with 1 key

Love the cupcake holders:

Party hats

The second project I did was "Movie Night":

Again, this is all from 1 key (I love the mustaches)

My Favorite NEW Products

On Wednesday August 1st, the new CTMH Idea Book will be available!
I have to tell you, this is my very favorite Idea Book since I started with CTMH. Every Idea Book that comes out, I love the products, but there is always a paper pack (or 2) that just don't do it for me... There is not one paper pack in this book I don't love!
I always have a favorite product I LOVE... but this Idea Book I have 3!!
So today I will give you a sneak peek at my 3 favorite products and also a project I made using them.
I do have to apologize, I did not use any new paper, but instead decided to use retired paper.

My 1st favorite product:

The New Cricut Artiste Collection.

My 2nd favorite product:

The New "Make It from Your Heart" pattern book.
This book is awesome! I was so worried when CTMH announced they were going to retire the How-To books, but now I am so happy. This publication is soft covered, less expensive and the patterns, products & ideas are more current.
I have already made cards using most of the card patterns in this book (which I will blog about starting tomorrow)

My 3rd favorite product:

The New alcohol markers. These markers are incredible and easy to use!
I love these markers for a couple reasons. The main one is... They are alcohol markers, and if you have ever used alcohol markers, I don't need to explain! If you haven't... You have to try these markers.
Another reason I love them, CTMH thinks of everything, so when you order 1 (for example: Cotton Candy, like pictured below) you actually get 2 markers!! The one you ordered plus a coordinating color for highlighting/shading!

So now, here is a project I made using my 3 favorite new products. It is a set of 6 card in a card holder.

The card holder is cut from the Cricut Artiste Cartridge.

There are 3 of each style of card...

This card is from "Pattern # 21" in the Make It From Your Heart pattern book

And this card is from "Pattern # 22" in the Make It From Your Heart pattern book

And the flowers are colored with the new alcohol markers.

So now you have seen my 3 favorite products!!

Enjoy!
