So while I was at convention in Disneyland this past summer, I met 3 special ladies, who I have kept in touch with and am going to convention with in Dallas this coming summer. We decided to have our own little gift exchange this Christmas, using CTMH products (obviously)... Well since it is now Christmas, I think it`s safe to post pictures of what I sent out.
Each lady received a decorated ``Friend`` box with a matching card portfolio set (with 5 matching cards).
When you place a minimum order of $25 from the Autumn/Winter 2011 Idea Book, you can get two valuable new products for just $15: the My Creations® Collage Cubes (a Spring/Summer 2012 sneak-peek product!) and the exclusive My Acrylix® Rock the Block E-size stamp set (available only during this promotion). This Rock the Block promotion represents a retail savings of almost $30! You're going to love the collage cubes and the Rock the Block stamp set, which work together for interactive, fashionable fun!
Dates: Offer valid December 19, 2011–January 31, 2012.
So of course all of your Christmas Cards and Christmas gifts are done... and now it's time to focus on the little finishing details. TAGS!
This past week I have shared a few tags with you that I have made, but here is a great little video from CTMH on some tags found in the autumn/winter 2011 Idea Book (page 102).
So tonight was my monthly card club, and the theme was "Christmas Tags". We made 4 different styles (2 of each style)... Here is one of the tags we made....
And of course, it is the season for tags. Next weekend is the SU card club I am in, and the theme for the card swap I am in is also Christmas tags. Here is a peek at 1 of the 2 tags I had to make for that card club...
So I just finished 3 Christmas Card Workshops in the last 2 days, which is why I haven't been blogging lately.
The paper used for this workshop was "Wonderland" and I used multiple stamp sets. I also used my Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge ALOT!! My cricut got a real workout preparing for this workshop.
The prep work consumed most of my extra time, but now it is over and here is a look at the cards we made...
A GREAT NOVEMBER SALE...
When you order 2 "My Acrylix® stamp sets" in November, you will receive 20% OFF both stamp sets... PLUS you can purchase a new D-size "Holiday Wishes" stamp set for only $5! (Regular retail value of $19.95). And here’s a bonus: many of the images in the set coordinate with our Cricut® Art Philosophy cartridge for added cutting and stamping fun!
Can you believe it's November!?!?
For "Blogtoberfest" my goal was to post on my blog every day of the month, and once October was done, my plan was to take a couple days off and catch up on some other stuff... but here I am, the first day of November, and there is a card challenge sketch calling my name!!!
So it's another Mojo Monday sketch.....
And here is my card (I went with the square option)...
So I really meant to get this sketch done yesterday... but you know how it goes. Besides, it gives me something to blog today. I'm still going strong with blogtoberfest and blogging everyday!
So I have been doing a weekly sketch challenge on Sundays which is appropriately called "Sweet Sunday Sketch", and every week she randomly picks a winning card to highlight and this week I was the Sweet Sunday Sketch Winner.
So this is good for my blog and I was pretty excited to see this. So thank you to Karen Giron for doing this great weekly card sketch challenge!
Now I guess I should go do this weeks card challenge!
So this weeks "card pattern sketch" came in through my facebook with a sneak peak at 11 pm last night... So when I woke up this morning, I saw it. Then I laid in bed for awhile thinking about it... then I got up and did it!
So here is my EARLY morning creation (this is what I do at 3 am when I can't sleep).
So there is a new Christmas Stamp set and it is CUTE!!! Here is how you can own this beautiful stamp set...
When you place a minimum order of $25.00 in My Acrylix® Stamp sets between now and November 30th, you can add this new D-sized "Holiday Wishes" stamp set for only $5.00! As a creative bonus, many of the images in this set coordinate with our Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge for added cutting and stamping fun!
So I have an Uncle who has seasons tickets to The Edmonton Eskimos. a couple weeks ago my Aunt and Uncle were in town. They stayed with us for the weekend and my Uncle and Husband went to a football game.
Now they are gone away on a vacation so they mailed my husband their tickets for an upcoming game, so today I thought I would make them a "football" thank you card.
I bought this stamp set from CTMH a couple years ago to make a birthday card and really thought I would probably never use it again... but today that stamp set was pulled out once again!
So here is my card, in the Eskimo's green and gold colors....
So on Monday, at my card club, I had a little bonus project.
It was a Halloween treat card. Tucked into the card was a little bag of Halloween chocolates.
Some of the cards got made as planned, some got made but the candy didn't get included in the card and some got made and then broken into... These ladies crack me up!!
This is such an easy little treat!! The stamp set used is the past SOTM "Wicked"
OK... I made my goal last week of doing my Mojo Monday on Monday, but it's a new week and this week I had my card club (so that is my excuse for this week).
I had alot of fun with this sketch! I dug out some of my retired stamps that I love but just don't seem to use enough and a CTMH die cut card, which just adds so much to a card!
So tonight was my monthly card club.
The card pattern we used was "Overview" from the book Originals (page 102), the technique was "base and shades" and the stamp set was the stamp set that comes with the Wonderland Workshop On The Go.
So here are some of the cards from my card club...
So this weeks card pattern I found a little challenging. I'm not sure if I'm just not feeling creative today or if my blogtoberfest goal to blog every day this month is leaving me short of words and original cards!?!?
Do you ever find that no matter how different the sketch, somehow your cards still look the same?
Anyway, it gave me a chance to crack open my new pink CTMH ribbon bundle, which is so cute!! I used the crochet type ribbon, so I guess now I will have to order more :)
Last weekend, at my 12 hour crop, one of the things I worked on was my cards for Brenda's SU November card club. The theme for next month is "Christmas".
So here is what I came up with...
So I decided, after yesterdays post, to do another post that shows off the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.
I have, in the past, shown a card made from the AP cartridge, so I thought today I would show off the 3D functions.
This little gift bag, the spiky flower and the tag are all cut from the AP cartridge.
On Sept. 28 I received an email from Close To My Heart. I was amazed! It went something like this....
Jackie,
Congratulations for being In the Spotlight this month! We are recognizing you for being in the top rankings for selling the most Cricut® Art Philosophy collections.
Way to go! Thanks for making this product such a huge success!
Congrats,
Close To My Heart
As it turns out, I tied for 2nd in selling the the Art Philosophy cartridge in Canada for the month of August (the month it was released).
This was such an easy product to sell because, for anyone who hasn't used it yet, it is amazing!
The Art Philosophy cartridge comes with 3 coordinating stamp sets... PLUS there are 20 stamp sets in the new Idea Book that coordinate with the cartridge.
So today I want to show you some great flowers made with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge and coordinating stamp set "Hooray Bouquet".
Oh my... another card sketch challenge! But I saw this sketch and LOVED it!!
The sketch is from Cardabilities. The paper is the "Wings" creative basics paper and the flowers and stamp set are from the NEW Cricut "Art Philosophy" cartridge.
So while perusing the blog world tonight, I found another card sketch challenge! The challenge is called Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.
I'm not too sure if I will continue with all the challenges after Blogtoberfest, but for this month, they are helping me with my goal of blogging every day.
OK... so I am an hour late on my "blog everyday this month" blogtoberfest goal! I had a 12 hour crop today/tonight so I just couldn't do it... but I will do 2 today to make up for it.
My blog tonight/this morning is the from cardpatterns.blogspot.com.
So today's post is more of a technique than a design. Today is about painting with bleach.
This is such an easy technique and I love love love the look of this.
So here is how this is done:
1. On white cardstock, sponge ink all over.
2. Stamp image with versa mark and emboss.
3. With small paint brush and liquid bleach (not cream) paint the area you want to remove the color from.
